Welfare Officer (Social Services)

Ministry of Public Health, Social Development & Labor (VSA), Department of Social Services Description The Ministry of Public Health, Social Development & Labor, under the auspices of the Department of Social Services, works to provide financial aid, medical aid and legal aid to those persons eligible to receive it. We are a dynamic, innovative and energetic team, always seeking ways and means to improve our impact on the lives of others. We currently have a vacancy for a Welfare Officer in Social Services. Duties - Client application intake and verification. - Assessment of the client's situation. - Advising management on client needs and applications. - Liaison with social workers. - Member of the Crisis Care unit. Professional qualifications - Minimum education requirement: MBO-4 diploma or associate degree in Sociaal Juridische Dienstverlening (SJD), Social Work, Human Services or a comparable field relevant to social services. - Minimum two (2) years of experience in customer services. - Strong command of the English language, written and verbal. - Ability to work with others professionally. - A competency skill set including solid interpersonal skills, proven results-oriented performance and the ability to collaborate across various segments. - Ability to work with diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. Compensation Salary range: minimum Cg 2,578.00 to maximum Cg 4,967.00 per month. Salary based on experience and qualifications, within the established salary range, plus a benefits package that includes vacation, pension and medical coverage.
